The Hard Part
Now comes the tough part. Rest. Trying to make it till Thursday with no running or working out. It is proving very difficult, but I think it is the best thing. Then I am considering whether to shoot for another Marathon in the near future...maybe as early as Seattle....or to concentrate on shorter distances...5k, 10k, 1/2 Marathon. Any Votes? Short Distance Speed or 4 weeks till Marathon #3 This year?

Al and I completed the COT marathon in 3:15:29. Great race day! Cool with little wind and lots of clouds. Poured the night before and immidiatly after we finished...sorry if you were one of the unlucky runners that got the cloud burst at mile nine or finished after us in the rain. For any and all interested, here are our splits 7:15, 7:03, 6:58, 7:03, 6:58, 7:01, 7:10, 6:45, 6:59, 6:48, 7:11, 6:54, 7:11, 7:14, 7:19, 7:02, 8:26 (unfourtunate potty stop), 7:44, 7:18, 7:30....Boink.....7:54, 8:00, 8:07, 8:07, 8;07, 7:59, 7:49, 7:45(for .3 at the end). Felt much better afterwards than I did in Vancouver and posted a 28min PR so I can't complain. Damn close to qualifying for Boston though. Next time.....goal is sub 3:00:00!
